Local Peoples is seeking enthusiastic and talented D365 Consultant- Tester in the ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, WA to join our team as embedded members with our prestigious Government client. Within the department, the Digital Solutions Division contributes delivering a wide range of digital programs and initiatives that support better digital experiences and improved outcomes for the department and its customers.
D365 Consultant - Testers will work in Agile teams in our high-profile software development projects. This is a fast-paced environment, and we require enthusiastic, professional Testers who have experience working on large, complex projects.
The successful applicant will be an integral part of development teams that build and maintain systems, having the opportunity to use leading edge technology. They will be responsible for analysis of requirements, the design, preparation, and execution of test cases in a large enterprise system.
We are looking for D365 Consultant - Tester to perform either manual testing activities or auto testing activities, with responsibilities including:
Roles & Responsibilities:
Analyse documented specifications, user stories and requirements to support the creation of test cases
Write, review and execute test cases.
Effectively prioritise testing efforts, and test case execution.
Report and track the resolution of defects/issues as they are found in testing.
Utilise a custom Test automation framework - Selenium Grid, RESTful API, YAML CI/CD, Docker Container, Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure DevOps, GIT, Playwright and Fake XRM
Follow best practice coding techniques and patterns when developing automated tests
Participate in the department’s delivery framework including Agile ceremonies
Update and maintain a Test Data API to enable test data creation
Update NuGet packages
Adapt UI and API tests for use during load and performance testing.
Work with the ability to be proactive, flexible, and agile, whilst managing changing goals and scope in a multidisciplinary agile project team.
Undertaking manual testing against functional and non-functional project requirements, including data migration, system integration and accessibility.
Preparing, reviewing, and executing test cases, and recording results in Azure DevOps.
Analyse requirements and ensure appropriate test coverage.
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. Extensive experience (5 years+) undertaking system and integration testing of large-scale systems, using manual testing methods.
2. Well-developed testing skills, including the ability to write, review and execute complex test cases.
3. Demonstrated understanding of Testing principles such as Test Phases,Test reporting, Test Traceability, Defect Triage and the Defect Management Lifecycle.
4. Demonstrated experience in SQL and querying databases using tools such as SQL Visual Studio.
5. Effectively prioritise testing efforts and test case execution, and report and track the resolution of defects/issues.
6. Experience working in an Agile software development environment as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, and experience using Azure DevOps toolset.
Residency & Clearance:
- Must be an Australian citizen
- Must be open to work in ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, WA
- Hold a current Baseline Security Clearance or be able to obtain one
