Test Manager – Expression of Interest

Local Peoples is taking expressions of interest for an upcoming opportunity where we will be assembling a team to deliver large-scale digital transformation programs. We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to oversee the testing lifecycle and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions across complex projects.

About the Role
The Test Manager will lead and manage testing activities across multiple programs, including planning, execution, reporting, and defect resolution. You’ll work closely with agile delivery teams, business stakeholders, and technical specialists to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead test planning, preparation, and execution, including coordinating testers and resources.

• Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, cases, and reports for both technical and executive audiences.

• Drive adoption of test automation and embed quality best practices across the delivery lifecycle.

• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring effective planning, execution, and issue resolution.

• Manage and execute system, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing cycles.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the testing team, fostering continuous improvement.

• Manage the defect lifecycle from identification through to resolution, ensuring high quality and traceability.

• Support go-live readiness activities and provide hypercare during cutover.

• Communicate testing outcomes clearly to stakeholders, both business and technical.

• Apply testing practices across agile, waterfall, and hybrid environments.

• Contribute to performance testing where required.

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated experience leading testing of complex systems within large, fast-paced projects.

• Strong experience developing and managing test plans, test cases, and progress/status reports.

• Proficiency with industry-standard testing tools, particularly Azure DevOps.

• Experience managing the defect lifecycle including prioritisation, tracking, and retesting.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Desirable

• Experience in performance testing.
